The Main House

The retreat center rests on the slopes of the volcano and at the edge of the rainforest and is located 25 miles south of historic Hilo. The ocean is only three miles away and is visible from the retreat. It was created for groups who wish to come together for meditation, dancing, yoga, exploration, seminars and workshops.

The retreat center is fully self sustainable and environmentally friendly. A state of the art solar energy system provides abundant power and our rain water catchments system provides all your fresh water. It rests near a manicured, organic fruit orchard and is surrounded by delectable flowers and vegetable gardens.

The Main house consists of five handcrafted island huts. The island huts (pre-constructed in Bali) are fabricated with exotic hardwoods and cedar. Ironwood shakes that form their roofs seem effortlessly suspended in a vented double-tiered architectural wonder that is as beautiful as it is practical. Each hut has its own redwood deck that faces the ocean and the sunrise. Covered walkways connect your hut to an open beamed main house with 16-foot ceilings and polished pacific island hardwood floors. A beautiful kitchen, daybeds, lofts and eclectic furnishings create a cozy aura in the main house. River rocks and cedar adorn double headed rainwater showers in the master baths. Connected to the main house is a large meeting room with windows and polished hard wood floors. The entire structure is over 3000 square feet including four baths. There is an outdoor grilling hut to make gatherings more fun!

Sleeps 16 (...or more… with sleeping bags in meeting room).
